Ashley Gagner

Founder, Producer, Production Manager, Spreadsheet Master

Ashley Gagner is an event producer and designer originally from the icy tundra of North Dakota and Minnesota. She began pursuing design as a career in her early years of high school working at a summer stock theatre program and was quickly enamored with the organized chaos that is theatre. With that love at heart, Ashley picked up and moved to New York to continue her study in theatre and design at Ithaca College where she graduated with a BFA in Theatrical Production Arts - Design; emphasis in Lighting Design and Scenic Art.

With a degree under her belt, Ashley moved to New York City to begin an exciting career in theatre as a freelance lighting designer, scenic artist, and props designer. While she was loving her exhilarating life in theatre, something was missing for her. In 2008, an unexpected opportunity fell into her lap that she couldn’t pass up. She seized this moment and turned her focus from theatre to events, not knowing that this was exactly what she was looking for.

For the past twelve years, Ashley has worn many hats - Event Producer, Technical Producer, Project Manager, Production Manager, RFP Responder (she loves RFPs) - and has worked with many outstanding companies and clients such as Pepsi, American Express, Dollar General, Bloomberg, and Nike. Most recently she has traveled the world working on innovative and bespoke weddings, grand corporate galas, and festive non-profit events for Colin Cowie Lifestyle. The experience was an honor and a privilege that opened up a whole new side of events for her. She took this opportunity to add to her bag of tricks by delving into international procedures and cultures and learning to focus on the small details of events.

Ashley has spent these many years sharpening all these acquired skills to give her clients unparalleled support. While Ashley’s background leans to the more technical aspects of events - audio visual, rigging, custom builds, event floorplans (just give her a reason to draft!) - what she is most passionate about is the management of the production and creating order in a chaotic industry. A master at creating and maintaining spreadsheets, she thrives on listening to her client’s needs, finding creative solutions to the challenges, creating detailed schedules, and finding the best staff for the job.

In October 2019, Ashley decided it was time for another thrilling challenge and began AG Production Design. Through this step, Ashley is able to give her clients access to ALL of her experience and skills and, most importantly, the personal attention they deserve.
